Thin-wall packaging pushes a machine to its limit. With flow-to-wall ratios above 1:200, melt freezes against the cold mold within milliseconds, so the machine has to fill the cavity before it solidifies, or the part short-shoots and develops weld lines. High-speed packaging machines are built for exactly this: injection units running 300 to 500 mm/s, high-response proportional valves, balanced injection cylinders that hold the platen steady under peak pressure, and reinforced clamping rated for 24/7 operation. A general-purpose machine on the same mold runs slower, wears faster, and never matches the output.
Every Chen Hsong machine is ready for smart manufacturing through the iChen™ platform. iChen™ Smart Factory connects machines, automation, and production systems into a complete MES solution. iChen™ Cloud provides real-time monitoring, quality tracking, and data-driven operations across your entire fleet. iChen™ AI Molder applies AI-driven process intelligence to optimize molding parameters, reduce defects, and stabilize output, without relying on operator experience alone.
As a global injection molding machine supplier with 120+ service locations, Chen Hsong supports manufacturers in automotive, packaging, electronics, medical, home appliance, and industrial production with machines, automation, and smart factory solutions.
Chen Hsong, a manufacturer with over 1,000,000 machines installed worldwide, has engineered high-speed packaging machines for more than two decades, in three series across the cost-performance curve.
The SPEED Series (128–468T) is the entry-level platform, with injection speeds up to 300 mm/s for general high-speed packaging. The SPEED-PACK II Series (260–570T) is the flagship, with Precision Hydraulics™, 500 mm/s injection on EtherCAT closed-loop control, and dry cycles as short as 1.5 seconds.
The SUPER PACK (270–430T) is the specialist top-end, with balanced dual injection cylinders, infrared heater bands, and a 29% larger power pack for the most demanding thin-wall work. All three handle food containers, lids, closures, IML, and high-cavity production, with stack-mold compatibility and standard automation interfaces.

Selection depends on your part type (thin-wall depth and wall thickness), required cycle time, mold size and cavitation, automation requirements, and production volume.
For straightforward high-speed packaging, the SPEED Series covers most needs at lower investment. For demanding thin-wall work with critical cycle times, the SPEED-PACK II delivers higher injection speeds and tighter shot-to-shot consistency.
For the most demanding thin-wall containers and food packaging where every shot counts, the SUPER PACK is engineered specifically for that envelope. Chen Hsong evaluates your application, mold, and target cycle time to recommend the right platform.
A general-purpose machine running a thin-wall mold will produce parts, but it will not run them efficiently. Thin-wall packaging requires injection speeds (often 300–500+ mm/s) and rapid clamp movements that strain general-purpose hydraulics, leading to slower cycles, faster wear, and more downtime.
A dedicated packaging machine has the specialised injection unit, larger power pack, faster proportional control, and reinforced clamping structure to deliver short cycles consistently for years of 24/7 operation. The result is significantly higher output, lower per-part cost, and longer machine life on packaging applications.
SPEED (128–468T) is the entry-level high-speed packaging machine. Injection speeds up to 300 mm/s, suitable for general high-speed packaging work where cycle time pressure is moderate. Best value per tonne in the range. SPEED-PACK II (260–570T) is the flagship: Precision Hydraulics™, injection speeds up to 500 mm/s, EtherCAT high-speed bus control, and packaging-specific plasticising units.
Engineered for cycle-time-critical thin-wall production. SUPER PACK (270–430T) is the specialist top-end: balanced dual injection cylinders, infrared heater bands, 29% larger power pack, and microsecond-grade dynamic response. Built for the most demanding thin-wall containers, food packaging, and high-cavity production. Chen Hsong helps you match the right series to your part, mold, and cycle target.
Yes. Chen Hsong packaging machines support standard EUROMAP robot interfaces and signal protocols, so robots, conveyors, IML systems, and downstream equipment from most major automation suppliers can be integrated. The SPEED-PACK II includes EUROMAP 12 and EUROMAP 67 robotic interfaces as optional standard features, plus OPC-UA connectivity.
Stack mold compatibility is supported across all three series via extended daylight and mold-protection features. Our engineers work with your chosen automation and mold partners during commissioning to make sure handshake, safety circuits, and cycle integration run smoothly.
Chen Hsong supports customers through 120+ service locations worldwide. Standard after-sales coverage includes installation, commissioning, operator training, preventive maintenance, spare parts supply, and remote diagnostics through the iChen™ platform. For packaging customers running 24/7 operations, preventive maintenance contracts and rapid spare parts supply are especially important.
Service contracts and extended warranty options are available. For customers in China, the 24-hour “服务易” hotline (400-930-0026) provides round-the-clock response.
