Injection molding Fiber Optic Fastners with The EM80-SVP/2 IMM

A customer in Hubei Province, China, is using 6 EM80-SVP/2 Injection Molding Machines to manufacture fiber optic fasteners in ABS and polycarbonate (PC).

In operation since 2012 and operating in semi-automatic mode, the EM80-SVP/2 Injection Molding Machine is driven by an SVP/2 Servo Drive with a clamping force of 80 tons controlled by a Nippobatta Ai-02. With 4 cavities in use, a cycle time of 46s is achieved with shot weight of 10g for each product at a thickness of 1.5mm.

This machine series has been replaced and upgraded by our newer series of injection moulding machines.
